Every MSP is looking to grow their business. That means looking for new revenue opportunities, but it also means understanding how to become more efficient to increase profits, independent of revenue growth. Back-office operations have become increasingly complex for MSPs as they build their service portfolios and deal with more vendors and more customers. This discussion will look at how MSPs can improve their back-office operations and allow them to focus more on customers and service delivery and drive profitability.

Judging by the spate of recent ransomware attacks, data breaches are becoming more prevalent. Most agree it’s not a question of if, but when you or your customers are going to be faced with an attack. The question is, how prepared are you to recover after an attack? This panel assumes that a security breach is inevitable and focuses on how to ensure your MSP can recover quickly, whether the breach hits the MSP or a customer. Topics will include effective DR planning, preparing for an attack, protecting backup data, understanding the potential impact of an attack, and implementing precautions to ensure business continuity during recovery. As an MSP, you are not only protecting your own business, but your customers’ as well, so preparing for the inevitability of a successful attack is a must.

The death of POTS has been greatly exaggerated. Contrary to reports, the FCC’s August 2022 deadline did not mandate POTS retirement, only its deregulation. That means prices are likely to go up while service and repair issues accelerate, creating yet another incentive for businesses to move to digital alternatives – and another opportunity for MSPs to deliver value to their customers. This panel will discuss the reality of POTS, the opportunity for MSPs, alternatives to POTS, and how to navigate support for non-communications devices (access systems, security systems, elevator phones, etc.), and how POTS replacement can be done efficiently and cost effectively.

It seems hackers are always half a step ahead. That’s what they would prefer. But, while hackers are constantly finding new attack strategies, many breaches are the result of existing vulnerabilities not being recognized and patched, software updates not being implemented properly, or other mistakes that can be avoided with the right knowledge and tools. That’s exactly what hackers don’t want businesses and MSPs to learn. This session discusses where attackers are finding success, where companies fall short in their security strategies, how MSPs can help their clients eliminate these security gaps, and what they need to know to keep pace on a continual basis so hackers don’t get too far ahead.

How MSPs are Expanding Margins and Reducing Operational Time
MSPA-07
James Abercrombie
ISV Technical Evangelist
Acronis
MSPs are constantly under pressure to deliver excellent customer experiences while keeping their margins healthy in a complex environment of consumption-based services on the market. The challenge for many MSPs is that they must manually pull reports and reconcile contract line items with staff time, tickets and overhead – while showing clients what services were delivered on the invoice, how SLAs were met, and how the invoiced services represent value for them. This session will demonstrate how native business automation helps MSPs integrate their back-office functions with their services. Acronis Advanced Automation lets MSPs focus on building high-value relationships, increasing profitability and lowering costs by integrating back-office operations and services into one console.

The MSP landscape is as competitive as it’s ever been – and that’s not going to change. This town hall style discussion seeks to understand where MSPs need the most help to drive their continued success and growth.

This session will dive into basic hacking techniques, demonstrate what types of tools hackers are using today, examine the scope of these attacks, and discuss best practices on how to protect ourselves and our businesses. Demonstrations will include how threat actors conduct OSINT (Open Source Intelligence), Ransomware case studies and examples, defense evasion tactics and more. On the defensive side, attendees will learn how to leverage SSE/SASE as well as MITRE ATT&CK to create multiple choke points to detect, mitigate and prevent these threats. And, because we cannot ignore the advancements in AI, the discussion will include a demo of how AI tools can be used by both threat actors and defenders. Thrive Networks
Businesses everywhere are undertaking a massive migration to the cloud. Some are going all-in, while others are making a slower, methodical transition. Either way, it’s part of the bigger digital transformation trend that is hitting every industry today, requiring better IT teams to support new digitally driven businesses. MSPs have to be prepared and understand these trends and how the technologies they are delivering enable them, along with how to maximize their value to enable their customers to succeed and operate efficiently. This discussion will look into what MSPs need to know about networks, security, performance, agility and more to be able to deliver to their customers and grow their own businesses.
