TMC's SDN PreCon Workshop at ITEXPO Explores Revolutionary Apps-First Networking Approach
Norwalk, CT—January 14, 2014— TMC today announced its SDN PreCon event that will be held January 28, 2014, at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Florida. Designed as a pre-conference event at ITEXPO Miami, held January 28-31, SDN PreCon will provide a sharp focus on how the software-defined network (SDN) is changing network technology approaches across the industry. The event will define SDN, look at the technologies and components involved, use cases, the players involved in moving SDN forward, and what all this means for networking as we know it.
SDN is considered by many to be one of the most important and disruptive developments in networking since the rise of the Internet. To date, networks and connectivity have come first and applications have followed. SDN turns this model on its head, approaching networking from an apps-first standpoint. The agenda at SDN PreCon explores this revolutionary method, providing insight from industry innovators and thought-leaders on the opportunities available for enterprises and service providers, SDN strategy assessment, applications and more. Educational sessions at SDN PreCon include:
- Analyst Update
- ONF Update
- SDN Adoption Challenges
- How Operators Can Use SDN to Offer New Enterprise Services
- Talking SDN with the Big Boys
“Although SDN is an exciting new trend and the topic of many conversations across the tech industry, it has yet to be fully defined and, therefore, understood. As SDN matures, it’s important for us to collaboratively discuss its potential impact, challenges, opportunities and standards. SDN PreCon is a unique event for vendors and users to explore these elements,” said Rich Tehrani, TMC CEO and conference chairman. “We have some exciting programming planned and we look forward to the conversations and developments made at the event.”
