Who is ALICE Receptionist?
"ALICE Receptionist is poised to revolutionize visitor management for office and commercial buildings. ALICE enables businesses to present live customer service agents on any number of kiosks, and other digital signage devices, enabling two-way and one-way video interaction with customers and employees."
Milestones since ITEXPO Las Vegas 2013:
The Biggest Challenge ALICE Receptionist has Faced:
"One of the biggest challenges has been helping people visualize our product working in their work environment. This is a challenge because there is no point of reference with similar products. Ours is the first product to tie VoIP Sip communications, both audio and video, with interactive touchscreen devices to connect office workers with visitors on an interactive device that also serves as an information source."
"Once customers see ALICE in action, they get it. To address this challenge we've redesigned our website (www.alicereceptionist.com) a number of times till we found a design that works. We've produced a few videos and provide on-line demos. Providing businesses all these media options when they are doing their research has been helpful."

Affordable and easy to integrate with any business, TextGen brings texting to work."
Milestones since ITEXPO Las Vegas 2013

Where does TextGen Believe the market will go over the next year?
"We see the market for messaging growing and we see the need for over the top services like ours growing. As more companies text enable their toll free numbers, we see a tipping point coming where people will simply expect toll free number to receive texts."

Who is VerbalizeIt?
"VerbalizeIt delivers real-time access to human translators to make sure that nothing is ever lost in translation. We empower businesses and travelers with the ability to instantly connect with a live translator any time of day, anywhere in the world and from any device or application."
Milestones since ITEXPO Miami 2013:
"Since participating in StartupCamp, we launched partnerships with Rosetta Stone, American Airlines, and Travelport, to name a few. We've continued to scale our business development efforts to support business internationalization, and we’ve expanded our offerings to not only include live interpretation, but also website localization, document translation and multilingual call center support. We now have 15,000 translators representing 150+ languages."
The Biggest Challenge VerbalizeIt has Faced:
"Our biggest challenge has been matching our supply of translators with the demand for translation from our customers. We’ve honed our process and we’re now pleased to have a community of 15,000 highly qualified translators supporting businesses and individuals of all types."
What does VerbalizeIt have planned for the next year?
"The demographics align perfectly. More and more businesses are engaging with an international customer-base and global travel has continued to expand, particularly from non US-based cities. Improvements in language proficiency have not kept pace with such internationalization and we continue to see strong interest in our translation platform to help bridge the gap"
VerbalizeIt tips for future StartupCamp participants:
"Do your research! The attendees at the Camp are phenomenally experienced and talented. Go into the Camp with clear objectives for who you want to talk to and what you’d like to accomplish."

Who is Vsnap?
Vsnap makes it easy to grow business by using short video messages as a more personal alternative to email. Customers and prospects take action about 40% more when you reach them via Vsnap as compared to via email. This is because vsnap feels so much more personal and more special than a text communication, and because it captures tone and emotion and enthusiasm and authenticity (and lots of other non-verbal stuff) in a way that actually translates – which text and email can’t do at all. And it’s all that non verbal stuff that actually shapes how we feel about a business and whether we decide to work with them or not.
Milestones since ITEXPO Austin 2012:
The Biggest Challenge TextGen has Faced:
"We had to make Vsnap fit in the existing workflows for our customers, which are Sales and Support teams at large companies."
"We handled that by integrating with Salesforce.com."
Where does Vsnap Believe the market will go over the next year?
"2013 saw an explosion in consumer video messaging -- 2014 will be the year that enterprise video messaging takes off!"
Vsnap tips for future StartupCamp participants:
"Have fun and make friends. Seriously. The best thing that comes out of being invited to participate in high-quality events is that you meet high-quality people. Make sure you take time to do that at StartupCamp!"
Dave McLaughlin, CEO & Cofounder of Vsnap
