Peter Blackmore joined ShoreTel in December 2010 as president and CEO to scale global operations and accelerate the company’s growth. He brings more than 30 years experience with technology companies worldwide to this role.

Previously Blackmore was president, CEO and a member of the board of directors of UTStarcom, Inc., a provider of Internet protocol-based network solutions, where he established the company’s growth strategy in China and India. Before UTStarcom, Blackmore was executive vice president in charge of worldwide sales, marketing and technology at Unisys Corporation. Prior to Unisys, Blackmore worked at Hewlett-Packard where he served as executive vice president of the Customer Solutions Group and, before that, of the Enterprise Systems Group. From 1991 until its acquisition by Hewlett-Packard in 2002, Blackmore served in several senior management positions at Compaq Computer Corporation reporting directly to the CEO, including senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing and then executive vice president for sales and service. Earlier Blackmore held senior field sales and channel management roles at Compaq in Europe and North America.

Blackmore serves on the board of MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc. and holds an M.A. in Economics from Trinity College, Cambridge, U.K. He is married with two children and lives in Northern California.

Mike currently serves as Vice President of Mobile and WebSphere solutions for IBM. In this role he directs the strategy and marketing around the world for all of IBM’s mobile and web solutions to advance the company’s Smarter Planet strategy.

Previously, Mike served as Vice President of Startups, ISVs and Academic Programs and was recognized for creating IBM’s partnership program with venture capital firms and startup companies across more than 40 countries. Mike has over fifteen years of leadership experience in marketing, product management, sales, mergers and acquisitions, business consulting, channel management and marketing roles across software, hardware and services businesses.

During his career, Mike and his teams have been recognized with numerous industry awards including the VarBusiness Tech Innovators award, the IT Service Marketing Award for Brand and Reputation Management, the American Advertising Federation ADDY Award for B2B Direct Marketing, the Forrester Groundswell award and the AMI Partners Best in Class Social Media award.

Mike has been a featured speaker at events around the world covering topics as diverse as marketing and branding strategies, mobile computing, channel development, innovation and business strategy, risk management, business transformation, leadership and change management, sustainable cities, Linux and open-source trends, software and cloud-based business models, and social media marketing. He has also been featured in Businessweek magazine and he was profiled in Forbes India for his work in leading IBM’s programs with startups and venture capital firms.

Prior to joining IBM, Mike worked at InterAmerica Technologies, a privately held software firm in McLean, Virginia. He also worked briefly as an economic advisor in the United States Congress. In addition to his role at IBM, he currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Software & Information Industry Association.

Mike received an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Politics from Saint Anselm College.

Huw Rees, Vice President of Business Development at 8x8, Inc, has been a senior member of the 8x8 management team for 13 years. A seasoned sales, marketing and business development executive with more than 25 years experience in the telecommunications industry, Rees was responsible for the execution of several key 8x8 strategic initiatives including its shift in the early 2000s away from an OEM approach to a focus on business and consumer end-users and more recent penetration into the mid-market and government sectors. Prior to his current position, Rees served as 8x8's Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Chief Executive Officer of Centile, Inc., a former subsidiary of 8x8 where the hosted PBX technology was developed. Rees began his career as an engineer and then regional manager at Marconi PLC, where he opened their Western US sales office and held a variety of management roles with Plessey Inc., and Mitel Corporation. He is a frequent speaker and panel member at industry events and an inventor with an awarded patent in the cloud PBX technology field. Rees received a B.Sc. (Hons) from the University of Manchester, Institute of Science and Technology in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and an MBA from the University of LaVerne.

Hummel joined Siemens Enterprise Communications in April 2010 and currently serves as Chief Commercial Officer. In his role he is responsible for Global Marketing and Corporate Development. His priorities include expanding the company’s market presence, building the brand and accelerating growth through strategic M&A opportunities.

Hummel is a recognized thought leader and has extensive experience in global enterprise sales and marketing, having lived and worked in a range of regions, including the United States, Germany, Eastern Europe and Asia. Before joining Siemens Enterprise Communications, he served as Executive Vice President of Global Field Marketing for SAP AG, where he managed an organization of more than 600 people that annually generated more than US$7 billion in qualified opportunities. Prior to SAP, Hummel spent 13 years at Oracle Corp. in a number of senior sales, services and marketing roles.

Hummel holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Tufts University and a Master’s degree in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in Medford, MA. He also studied at Durham University (UK) and the London Business School.

As Vice President and General Manager in Cisco’s Small Business Business Unit (SBBU), David Tucker is responsible for addressing the “Connect” elements of Cisco’s small business strategy, which aims to maximize profitable growth in the small business switching, routing, storage and WLAN markets. Tucker’s organization is responsible for delivering a global product portfolio and unique go-to-market strategy that meets the networking needs of the small business customer. As part of this effort, Tucker will manage the innovation and expansion of product solutions, which includes the integration of small business best practices and products with Cisco’s existing products. 

In his most recent role, Tucker served as Vice President of the Connected Office Business Organization (COBO) for Linksys. There, he led the teams to develop and market voice and data products targeting the small business marketplace. Previous to COBO, Tucker led product management, marketing and market development efforts for Cisco, spending much of his time focusing on delivering IP Telephony solutions to the worldwide enterprise customer.

Tucker joined Cisco in 1998 as part of the Selsius Systems acquisition.  As Co-Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer, he helped to pioneer the consolidation of voice and data networks.

Prior to Selsius, Tucker served in a variety of leadership roles at different technology companies  where he was responsible for notable innovations like the creation of the voice and video PBX platform.

Tucker holds masters of bachelor administration and a bachelors of business administration degrees in Marketing from Texas A&M University.

Robert B. (Rob) Carter is executive vice president of FedEx Information Services and chief information officer of FedEx Corporation. He is a member of the five-person Executive Committee, which plans and executes the corporation’s strategic business activities. Carter is responsible for setting technology direction, as well as the corporation’s key applications and technology infrastructure. FedEx applications, advanced networks and data centers provide around-the-clock and around-the-globe support for the product offerings of FedEx.

Carter joined FedEx in 1993 and has over 30 years of systems development and implementation experience.

Carter was born in Taiwan. He earned his bachelor’s degree in computer and information science from the University of Florida and his master’s degree from the University of South Florida.

Recently named as part of Fortune Magazine’s Executive Dream Team, Carter is also ranked 18th on Fast Company Magazine’s 100 Most Creative People in Business 2010 list.  He received Information Week's Chief of the Year Award in 2000, 2001 and 2005 and is a seven-time recipient of CIO Magazine’s 100 Award.

Carter is a member of the Saks Inc. (NYSE: SKS) and First Horizon Corporation (NYSE: FHN) Boards of Directors, and the University of Florida Foundation Board of Trustees.

Raymond ("Ray") Dolan is President and Chief Executive Officer of Sonus Networks. Previously, Ray served as Chief Executive Officer of QUALCOMM/Flarion Technologies, a developer of mobile broadband communications technologies, as well as Senior Vice President of QUALCOMM Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM). Prior to its acquisition by QUALCOMM in 2006, Ray served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Flarion. From 1996 to 2000, he was Chief Operating Officer of NextWave Telecom. Prior to that, he spent eight years at BellAtlantic/NYNEX Mobile, serving in numerous roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as Executive Vice President of Marketing. Ray began his career in the telecommunications industry at PacTel Cellular as a Manager of Network Operations. He served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, where he spent more than seven years as a tactical jet pilot. Ray graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and also holds an M.B.A. from the Columbia University School of Business. Ray currently serves on the Board of Directors of American Tower Corporation (NYSE: AMT) and NII Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: NIHD).
